The Brief
The Avalanche Safety team in Golden BC required a robust eCommerce website to host hundreds of products. They also required custom customer types, and custom price grids for each customer type - allowing them to provide different discounts to their different customers. In addition, and complex and robust commission system, tied to the location of their customers, attributes sales back to their partner stores via postal code lookups.
The Solution
Eggplant Studios developed a massive amount of custom functionality for this website, no small feat considering all the moving parts in this eCommerce store. The various customer types and pricing grids are fully editable (by brand), and allows ShopMSD staff to dynamically adjust the discounts available. By leveraging the Store Locator plugin, we can associate customers to Partner stores in order to offer free shipping, and attribute commissions back to the partner stores.
